Short description of the project |
Karnobat railway station, which is located on the Plovdiv — Burgas motorway, and is part of the „Orient/East-Med“ European corridor, has not been repaired for more than 33 years. Following the reconstruction work, the train station will be brought into line with the requirements of the legal framework for building accessible environments in urbanised areas. Measures will be implemented to increase the energy efficiency of public spaces, roll out smart, modern systems for managing heating, air conditioning, lighting, information, etc. |
Description of the project and objectives |
As a result of many years of operation, the reception buildings of railway stations in Bulgaria are in a very poor state. This requires their modernisation, reconstruction and renovation, including their installation systems. These actions aim to bring the condition of station complexes in line with European standards in the field guaranteeing the safety of passengers and the provision of quality services for passengers. At the same time, the train station will be brought into line with the requirements of the legal framework for building accessible environments in urbanised areas. Measures will be implemented to increase the energy efficiency of public spaces, roll out smart, modern systems for managing heating, air conditioning, lighting, information, etc. The external appearance of stations is of great importance for the image of rail transport. They are often the face of the railway. Not at random in Europe, major stations have been turned into shopping malls with shops, restaurants and car parks. For the renovation and reconstruction of old stations and for the construction of new plants, different concepts should be developed according to the location of each of them. The organisation of service in stations is of particular importance in order to create the necessary comfort and comfort for passengers. The scope of this project proposal provides for the implementation of construction work under the following subsites: basking cabin; office building “Omnibusa ramp”; Post 1; Post 2; Post 3; Post 4; Post 5; Post 6; the host shop “Omnibusa ramp”, carpeat-leaf station; an external water pipeline; platforms 1, 2 and 3; the pedestrian underpass; the service ramps and pumping station. |
