Removal of existing crossings on the railway line by other ground transport at the same level and construction of four new road overpasses on the Septemvri — Plovdiv route. |
Description of the project and objectives |
The main objectives of the project are to remove speed limits, enhance the capacity of rail and road traffic flows, improve environmental conditions, protect the environment by reducing emissions of harmful gases, reduce the negative impact on urban areas from running the track. By eliminating crossings of the railway line by other land transport, the safety and reliability requirements will be met in normal operation on the track. The project is part of the major infrastructure project "Modernisation of the railway section Septemvri — Plovdiv: part of the European railway network" and shall include the implementation of the following activities: The construction of a new road surface on the spot in the vicinity of Kovachevo Construction of a new road surface at the Ognyanovo-Stamboliiski, in the vicinity of the village of Trividers; Construction of a new road surface in the area of Stamboliiski station; Construction of a new road bridge in the area of Todor Kableshkov station. |
