The Managing Authority (MA) of the “Transport Connectivity” Programme 2021–2027, in cooperation with the JASPERS initiative, organized a training session on the topic “Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) for Transport Projects.” The event was designed to support the MA and the beneficiaries of the programme. The speakers presented the CBA assessment method and explained the mechanism for its quality review.
Participants discussed the potential for establishing standard reference values to be used in the evaluation of Bulgarian transport projects during the 2021–2027 programming period. This approach aims to ensure a level playing field for the evaluation of projects across all transport sub-sectors and to assist the MA of the Transport Connectivity Programme in the process of project prioritization.
The event brought together staff from the Managing Authority, programme beneficiaries, and consultants involved in preparing cost-benefit analyses.
Speakers:
Marko Kristl, Senior Transport Economist at EIB/JASPERS
Kristina Chakarova, Transport Expert
