The Minister of Environment and Water Neno Dimov and the mayor of Lom Municipality Penka Penkova signed a contract for construction of a composting installation. Under the project a facility for the processing of separately collected green and/or biodegradable waste generated on the territory of the municipality will be built. The plant has a capacity of over 3000 tons per year and will serve approximately 25,000 inhabitants.

The Minister of Environment and Water Neno Dimov and the Mayor of Sofia Municipality Yordanka Fandakova signed a contract for improving the quality of the atmospheric air in Sofia. This is the second project under the Operational Program "Environment" (OPE) 2014-2020 for real investment measures addressing the main source of air pollution - domestic heating.

The facilities will serve over 17,000 inhabitants

Minister of Environment and Water Neno Dimov today signed a contract for the construction of waste treatment facilities for the municipalities of Elhovo and Bolyarovo. The project includes a composting plant with a capacity of 4000 tons per year and a pre-treatment plant with a capacity of 1600 tons per year.

Minister of Environment and Water Neno Dimov signed contracts with the municipalities of Gabrovo, Galabovo and Svilengrad for the prevention and management of the flood risk of the Sinkevitsa, Haidushk kladenche and Kalandikka dams. The projects will be implemented under Operational Program "Environment 2014-2020".

The Minister of Environment and Water Neno Dimov and Mayor of Lom Municipality Penka Penkova signed a contract for the strengthening of landslides with funds from Operational Program Environment (OPE) 2014-2020. The implementation of the project will prevent landslide processes on an area of 18 hectares and will increase the protection of the lives and health of more than 2,000 people.

The Minister of Environment and Water Neno Dimov signed a contract for the construction of an anaerobic installation for the municipalities of Rousse, Ivanovo, Slivo pole, Tutrakan and Vetovo. The project consists in constructing a facility for the processing of separately collected biodegradable waste generated on the territory of the Regional Waste Management Association for Rousse region.

The implementation of the project will provide additional waste recycling capacity of nearly 18,000 tons per year. The anaerobic treatment plant will serve over 200,000 inhabitants.
